PlugPlayer (iOS) can't find my LG NAS N2A2 Server

Postby splitbus » Sat Jan 14, 2012 3:43 pm

Hello

I have searched the Forum without finding any help to my problem.

My devices :
Mac Book Pro (Lion)
iPhone (iOS5)
iPad1 (iOS5)
HTC Desire (2.2)
LG Nas N2A2 (9595)
TDC HomeBox Router (Sagem)

My MBP can see the NAS through "Finder" & Safari & iTunes, so no problems her.

But PlugPlayer on my smartphones can't see any NAS on my Wifi.

I have setup the DNLA on my NAS

On the NAS/Multimedia I have made some Libraries : Music, Photo, Video, Lars & Vicky, but he LG NAS App for iPhone / iPad can only see Lars & Vicky not all the other Libraries ?

I really want to stream my Music through my iPad / iPhone to Stereo, so please help me

Some things to try:

Are you sure DLNA is setup and enabled? Is there a security setting perhaps? Have you tried manually configuring PlugPlayer to find the server?

I think the DLNA is OK because there no problem through my MAC (MBP), it only between iOS and NAS

Which port do you guys use ?

The port will all depend on the NAS and how it is configured. There is no standard port.

How are you accessing the DLNA server on the MAC?

I'm connecting to the NAS frommy MBP through AFP and it works fine.

I also have a ATV2 that connects through SMB and it work fine when I streame movies

PP can't find my NAS.
I have try to setup a "Add a CloudUPNP Server" by typing :
192.168.1.13
username
password (I'm 100 % sure it's the same and typed right, as the one I use on MBP & ATV2)

I'm quite sure it's a NAS problem, because the problem are the sameon my Android Smartphone

I have upgraded my LG NAS to newest GUI and software (firmware)

PlugPlayer can't see SMB shares; only UPnP media servers. Make sure you have the media server setup on the NAS, and if you need to, you can set it up manually.

CloudUPnP is for CloudUPnP, not your nas.
