Panasonic DMR-BW880 and loading problem

I have a Panasonic DMR-BW880 which has DLNA capability. I purchased Plugplayer and it shows up the device when I open the app. Likewise, it shows the listing of the programs recorded on the Panasonic unit; including the name and length of the program. Unfortunately when I click on an individual program to view it, the loading symbol appears but the video never actually plays. I have turned off the Safari Player feature, but this has not fixed the problem. The Panasonic DMR-DBD880 works when I am streaming to my Windows computer, so I know it works. Do you have any ideas on how I might be able to get this to work?

Do you know what format and encoding the videos are in? Perhaps the format is not supported under iOS?

I am told it is AVCHD, do you know if this is supported on iOS?
