Browsing/playing m4v video files

Postby Pln » Sun May 20, 2012 11:03 am

Just bought plugplayer . Maybe I have some setup wrong but I have extension m4v video files ( my physical dvd that I ripped with handbreak) on my ipad as on my nas but pluplayer doesn t see them. Is that normal .? For m4a music and jpeg files stored on my ipad and nas there is no problem at all for plugplayer to see them. Rgds

Are you saying you have a NAS with m4v files that don't appear when browsing the NAS in PlugPlayer?

PlugPlayer doesn't filter anything; it just shows what the server sends for each folder. Perhaps you need to reindex or reconfigure your NAS?

Thanks for your answer . What is most surprising is about the video stored on the ipad i have some on extension avi and mov plugpalyer see them but not play them ( loading never happens and always display that the video should last 1sec which is not the case) the video extension m4v stored on the ipad dont show at all on pluplayer . For the nas it maybe more tricky as this one is not so open ?. It is a beomaster5 from bang and olufsen and you have not full access to it ?. However plugplayer see all jpeg stored in it as well as m4a music with all features right album,cd cover etc... (in fact it is a copy of my itunes library with the same tree) and i can control it from the ipad But nothing showing for videos to be played on the ipad Maybe bang and olufsen has limited it not to send info on video files . However i am surprised that plugplayer doesnt see any of my various videos avi mov m4v stored on the ipad. Rgds. Patrick

But in fact it is right i don t need plugplayer to play the videos stored on my ipad so my question for the issue related to the ipad stored video is certainly stupid . But i thought it may well be the same issue happening for the nas. So if you have cracked or came along this issue with a beomaster 5 i am happy to take advice as i am not a geek.....
